A Little Princess
By Frances Hodgson Burnett
Directed by Andrew Child, Artistic Director
A Little Princess is a unique theatrical event that combines song, dance, puppetry, and video projection to tell the story of Sara Crewe, a wealthy, young heiress who, suddenly forced to live as a scullery maid in the school she once attended, finds solace in her own ability to weave stories. The whole family will enjoy witnessing Sara’s adventures as she learns to appreciate the magic that can be found in the way we treat those around us.
This sensory-friendly performance on Saturday, July 22 at 2:00pm is open to all audience members, but is specifically tailored for those who fall within the autism spectrum and their families. During this performance, potentially frightening design elements such as harsh lighting or loud sound effects will be omitted from the production and families are allowed to speak and to come and go as they choose during the performance.
